Big Changes to Gardens Mall

A massive new development is proposed for The Gardens Mall, replacing the former Sears space with a 140,000 square foot Dick’s House of Sport.

This is not a typical sporting goods store. Plans include an outdoor sports field, rock climbing walls, batting cages, golf simulators, camps, clinics, events, plus additional retail space. The project is currently under review by the City of Palm Beach Gardens.

The real estate impact matters. Major investments like this signal long term confidence in the Palm Beach Gardens market, its demographics, plus its spending power. It also continues the shift from traditional shopping toward destinations built around entertainment, dining, sports, plus family activities.

For nearby homeowners, stronger amenities can make surrounding communities more attractive, particularly to families relocating from outside the area. It does not automatically increase every property value, although continued investment along the PGA corridor supports demand for both residential and commercial real estate.

The Gardens Mall is evolving into more than a shopping center. This project could further establish it as one of the area’s leading lifestyle destinations.
